When it rains, it pours: Tropical Storm Ondoy in the house!

Oh my, I’m in the office and it suddenly the rain pours terribly like there’s no tomorrow. The wind blows so hard and the road were flooded. How can I get home with this situation. E.D.S.A.’s traffic is not moving anymore.

And also, please pray for the families who were in danger, stacked at their roof of their houses.

A Dinner Date for Two

17 months ago since Cris answered me. The days had gone so fast and now we’re 17th month old! 17 months of happiness and tears. Maybe that’s just how the relationship flow and maybe that was just a trial for us to know and to feel how much we are in love with each other.

Though we haven’t been together every time, I invited Cris for a dinner date. We go to Dencio’s and take our nice little sweet dinner. This is our first time to eat in a restaurant without our parents I had a great time talking and taking our dinner with her.

Happy 17th month my little sweety. I hope that you enjoyed my little treat. No one can ever replace you here in my heart. I love you so, so much and I will always do and always remember that I’m always here for you whether up’s or downs. See you on Sunday and always take care of your self okay?

Apple introduces their new version of Nano. Today, iPod nano comes with a camera that enables you to shoot video. Did I say camera that shoot video? Oh well, you heard it right. As of now iPod nano only records video but not shoot a still image.

The new iPod nano also comes with built-in fm radio, so, if your too tired with your playlist then you have a choice to listen to the radio instead which is quite nice. And the thing is, you can also pause the fm radio

Say you need to take a quick break from listening to your favourite radio station. iPod nano lets you pause it with a click. Another click and you’re listening to your station again. You can even rewind as far back as 15 minutes, then fast-forward to catch up to the live broadcast.

Ok I get it, maybe they record your tuned-in radio station as soon as you paused so you will never missed anything. For more info about this product, just visit their site. I will not cover anything beyond here since I don’t have iPod and Apple didn’t pay me either

Google maps doesn’t display longitude and latitude of the location that you are currently viewing but with the help of this little javascript you may not get the exact location of the centered address.

September 8: Marian Feast Days and Prayers

The feast of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary has been celebrated in the Church at least since the 8th Century. The Church’s calendar observes the birthdays of only two saints: Saint John the Baptist (June 24), and Mary, Mother of Jesus.

John the Baptist is considered especially sanctified even before his birth. His birth to Elizabeth and Zachariah is foretold in the first chapter of Luke, and it is also recorded (Lk 1:41) that Elizabeth felt the infant John “leap in her womb” when Mary approached her soon after the Annunciation.

The birth of Mary was also miraculous. She was conceived without sin as a special grace because God had selected her to become the mother of His Son (the feast of her Immaculate Conception is celebrated on December 8). The dogma of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, though generally believed throughout the Church for many centuries, was formally declared by Pope Pius IX in 1854.

There is nothing contained in Scripture about the birth of Mary or her parentage, though Joseph’s lineage is given in the first chapter of the Gospel of Matthew. The names of Mary’s parents, Joachim and Anna, appear in the apocryphal “Gospel of James”, a book dating from the 2nd Century AD, not part of the authentic canon of Scripture. According to this account, Joachim and Anna were also beyond the years of child-bearing, but prayed and fasted that God would grant their desire for a child.

According to one tradition, the house in which Mary was born in Nazareth is the same one in which the Annunciation took place. By another tradition, the Annunciation site is beneath the Crusader church of Saint Anna in Jerusalem, under a 3rd Century oratory known as the “Gate of Mary”.

In celebrating the nativity of Mary, Christians anticipate the Incarnation and birth of her Divine Son, and give honor to the mother of Our Lord and Savior.

Ok, I feel like I’m a very religious person But as a Catholic this is a feast of Mary the mother of our Lord. And in part of this celebration, local churches conducted some procession. We joined it but we’re lucky enough and get wet . But it was fun though it’s cold.

SINAKSAK sa tiyan at pinalo sa ulo hanggang mamatay si Leo Santos, 28, ng apat na lalaki sa Tondo, Manila. Iniwan pa ang patalim sa katawan ng biktima na ang tanging kasalanan ay ’di niya alam ang kantang ‘Nobody’ ng Wonder Girls.

(Leo Santos, 28, has been knifed in the stomach and beaten in the head to death by four men in Tondo, Manila. Yet left the knife in the victim’s body that the only fault is he does not know the song ‘nobody’ by Wonder Girls.)
Si Santos, electrician, ng Callejon 1, Block 1, Lot 19, Corregidor St., Mahomas Compound, Tondo, Manila, ay sinaksak ng dalawang beses sa tiyan at pinagbubugbog noong Agosto 26 sa Tondo. Siya ay namatay Huwebes sa Jose Memorial Medical Center.

Pinaghahanap na ngayon ng Manila Police District-Homicide Section ang mga suspek na nakilalang sina Jansen Maglanque, Jonar Balagtas, Rodolfo Aguas at alias Joseph, mga residente ng Pilar Street sa Tondo. Sila ay nahaharap sa kasong murder sa City Prosecutor’s Office.

Kumakanta umano si Joseph ng ‘Nobody’, ang popular na kanta ng Wonder Girls, nang tanungin siya ng biktima ng, “Ano ang kinakanta mo?”

Nairita diumano ang isa sa mga suspek dahil ’di alam ni Santos ang kanta kung kaya’t sinuntok niya ito. Nakihalo na ang tatlo pang suspek at kinuyog ang biktima.

(One of the suspect got irritate because Santos did not know the song so he punched it. The three other suspects joined and beat the victim.)

Isa sa mga suspek ay sinaksak si Santos sa tiyan ng dalawang beses, pagkatapos ay tumakas kasama ng iba pa. Ang kaso ay inireport lang kahapon sa pulisya ng pamilya ng biktima dahil naging abala umano sila sa pagpapagamot at pagpapalibing nito.

(One of the suspects was thrust into Santos’ belly two times, then fled with the others. The case is reported to the police only yesterday by the family of the victim because they allegedly wrapped the treatment and burial.)

Stop the Killing of Sharks

I found shark finning very inhumane. Ok, I’m not that PETA employee or what so ever but look at the picture. I read that about 56 lives of person are taken each year by shark attack but look at these, about 100 million of sharks life are taken per year just to have those sharks fin soup.

So, what is shark finning?

Shark finning refers to the removal and retention of shark fins and the discard at sea of the carcass. The shark is most often still alive when it is tossed back into the water. The finless sharks are unable to swim and sink to the ocean bottom and die^. Shark finning takes place at sea so the fishers only have to transport the fins. Shark meat is considered low value and therefore not worth the cost of transporting the bulky shark bodies to market. -wikipedia

Looking on the other perspective, what will you feel if you left alone with your arms and legs cut? Will you survive? That’s what sharks feel! If you can only feel sharks feelings. No wonder if shark will be extinct because of this.

What will you do to make this things change? Do not eat sharks fin soup and other food that has sharks fin on it. If no one eats, no one will buy sharks fin and no sharks will be caught and no shark will die. If this happens, the Ecosystem under the ocean will still be balanced.

Michael Jackson will finally laid to rest

According to a report in the Associated Press, the late pop legend Michael Jackson will be laid to rest today in Glendale, California’s Great Mausoleum, which is filled with famed golden-era Hollywood entertainers, including Clark Gable, Carole Lombard, Jean Harlow and W.C. Fields.

A judge ruled yesterday that Jackson’s estate will cover all funeral costs. It was disclosed in court that 12 burial spaces were being purchased at Forest Lawn Glendale, about eight miles north of downtown Los Angeles, but no details were offered on how they would be used.

Dasmarinas: McDonald’s Open 24 Hours

Going to work early this morning, I’ve seen McDonald’s branch in Dasmarinas changed. They are now open 24 hours, apparently, Jollibee just a few blocks away from McDonald’s is already open and it’s just 5:00 am! I’m wondering if Jollibee will push their 24-hour service. Are they going to be 24-hour open? Lets wait and see
